Next week I am going to Vilnius, Lithuania to participate in the conference
"Memory institutions and the state". I am one of the speakers and will present a forthcoming article regarding the debate regading Swedish
Museums, especially the debate in 2016 regarding the Museum of Far Eastern Studies. This debate is a mischmasch of critique
of "Postmodernism" and feuilletonistic missunderstandings and included the journalist Ola Wong, the
director Ann Follin, former minister of culture Alice Bah-Kuhnke and many other. It even reached China with an alarmistic
article in the Shanghai-based journal Pengpai which claimed that Sweden were going to destroy a lot of ancient Chinese
artifacts due to "the European concept of Multiculture".
